The following are basic contest rules applying to any and all contests run on KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM. Each contest may have its own special qualifications and eligibility rules in which case a serparate list of rules will be available for public inspection.
- All KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM contests are open to all listeners who are 18 years of age or older unless stated otherwise. Contest winners must also reside in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. Employees of KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM, its licensee, its corporate parents CBS Radio and CBS Corporation, affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio station employees in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
- Listeners are eligible to enter a KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM contest as often as they wish but are only eligible to win once per contest. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
- All prizes and prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM at 6655 West Sahara Avenue, Suite D-110, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within 10 days of winning. The 10 day period includes weekends and holidays. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM will not notify winners of time remaining on prizes to be picked up. It is the winners’ responsibility to claim their prize within the time limit. Additionally, some prizes have specific expiration dates or are date sensitive (ie. Concert tickets), which may occur within the 10 days following the winning date. It is the responsibility of the winner to pick up their prize by the event or expiration date.
- Prizes may not be mailed to winners. All prizes must be claimed by the winner only. Prizes are non-transferable.
- KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM is not responsible for replacing any prizes after they have been picked up, whether the prize was lost, organization providing the prize has closed, or for any other reason.
- In the event of a dropped call, telephone line or mobile phone malfunction or phone disconnection, the decision of management will be final. In the event that two (2) telephone lines are “tied together” during a phone-in contest, the entire call will be disqualified and the next caller in line will be taken and awarded the prize. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM cannot award duplicate prizes to both parties in a “tied together” situation and both callers will be disqualified; this circumstance is beyond the radio stations control.
- KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM listeners, who win prizes on the radio stations, may not substitute prizes with another prize or cash. However, in the event of an unavailable prize won by the listener, KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM may substitute the original prize with another prize for the approximate value (in dollars) of the original prize awarded.
- In regards to special advanced movie screening giveaways, KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM strongly recommends you arrive early. At the theatre, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Passes do not guarantee seating. No one will be admitted with out a ticket and no one will be admitted after the screening begins. Representative has the right to refuse admittance.
- Listeners may also register to win prizes on the KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM website. Winners of the various contests are chosen randomly from all eligible entries. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM is not responsible for entries not received due to the difficulty accessing the internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. All on-line entries must be filled out completely.
- To enter on-line, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number and valid email address and any other requested information in the on-line entry form. One internet entry per person. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, on-line service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
- KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person of tampering with the entry process, the operation of the KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM website or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any kind.
- For contests that require qualification, listeners may qualify only once, unless otherwise specified.
- Contest winners (and their traveling companions, if any) will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM, its corporate licensee, its parent corporation, CBS Radio and CBS Corporation, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or content.
- All contestant entries become property of KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM may retain any or all contest materials for any reason that the stations management deems crucial to the completion of the contest, or for reasons relating to the publicity or advertising.
- Unless otherwise stated, any contest conducted at a facility where a paid admission is required, may be entered at the KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM studios prior to the event or through a station representative at the event, without any paid consideration to enter the event. KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM must be notified by telephone or in writing no less than 24 hours prior to such contest/event to facilitate staffing for such purposes.
- Contests conducted at facilities with an age requirement of 21 years of age or older, shall exclude participants who cannot prove they meet the age requirement.
- Unless otherwise stated, contestants must be at least 18 years of age or older to win prizes from KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM.
- Contestants winning a prize or prizes valued at over $600.00 or more in a calendar year will be subject to any and all federal, state and local taxes, as applicable. A 1099 will be issued by CBS Radio in this event.
- By participating in a contest, KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any and all advertising or broadcasting materials relating to this contest, without additional compensation. Additionally, winner agrees to sign a prize release form before the acceptance of their prize.
- KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest which will become effective upon announcement by KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM.
- No purchase necessary. Contests are void where prohibited.
- Failure to comply with the KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification.
- In the case of a grand prize drawing from qualifying winners, KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM will make every attempt to contact the grand prize winner, randomly selected, by phone to notify them of their prize. If the winner cannot be contacted in a timely manner (to be determined by management) another grand prize winner will be randomly selected. Duplicated prizes will not be awarded.
- In the event that the winner of a KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM contest cannot take a trip on the specific dates that have been announced (ie. Concert trip flyaway) to them and on-air, they will forfeit their prize. A substitute trip will not be provided.
- Copies of the written contest rules are available during regular business hours, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday excluding CBS Radio holidays at the KKJJ 100.5 JACK FM studios. Studios are located at 6655 West Sahara Avenue, D-110, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146. Rules can also be accessed on the radio station websites at www.jackbaby.com.
RULES FOR THE TIGER JAM XI FEATURING VAN HALEN SPONSORED BY AT&T CONTEST
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The Tiger Jam XI featuring Van Halen sponsored by AT&T contest will begin on Monday April 14, 2008 at 7am PST and end on Saturday April 19, 2008at 4pm PST (the “Contest Period”).
b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s): Log onto jackbaby.com and register to be a member of the “One Eyed Jack Club” and be entered to win one of five (5) pair of tickets to see Van Halen perform live at Mandalay Bay on Saturday April 19, 2008. For a second chance to win AT&T customers can text the word “Jack” to 2251 for the chance to win one of ten (10) pair of tickets. For a final chance to win tickets listeners can come to the AT&T store located at 920 S. Rampart, Las Vegas NV, 89145 for a chance to win one of three (3) pair of tickets on Saturday April 19, 2008 from 2-4pm.
c. Only one (1) internet entry per computer is permitted. Only one entry per person is permitted. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by station. Stations computer is the official time keeping device for the sweepstakes. The station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
d. Texting option is only open to AT&T subscribers, standard text messaging rates apply.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The contest is open to all KKJJ listeners who are 21 years of age or older and who legally reside in the greater Las Vegas area. Employees of KKJJ (the “Station”), and AT&T its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Las Vegas metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and or households are ineligible to participate or win.
3. PRIZES
a. Five (5) pair of Tiger Jam XI featuring Van Halen tickets will be awarded to entries received on www.jackbaby.com reserved for those who entered the “one eyed jack” contest. Ten (10) pair of Tiger Jam XI tickets featuring Van Halen will be given away to AT&T customers who text “Jack” to 2251. Three (3) pair of Tiger Jam XI tickets featuring Van Halen will be given away at a live remote broadcast on Saturday April 19, 2008 from 2-4pm at the AT&T store located at 920 S. Rampart Las Vegas, NV 89145.
b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within fourteen (14) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. One (1) qualifying prize winner will be selected from the entries from jackbaby.com “one eyed jack contest” daily at 5pm and 3pm on Friday.
c. Two (2) qualifying prize winners will be selected randomly daily from the AT&T customer’s entries at 5pm and 3pm on Friday and selected at random times.
d. Three (3) people will have the chance to win by spinning a prize wheel at a live remote conducted by KKJJ (“the station”) on Saturday April 19, 2008 at 920 S. Rampart Las Vegas NV, 89145 from 2-4pm
e. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.
f. Winner needs to be present at the live remote location located at 920 S. Rampart Las Vegas, NV 89145 on Saturday April 19, 2008 from 2-4pm to win tickets to Tiger Jam XI featuring Van Halen.
g. Winner of the “one eyed jack” contest on www.jackbaby.com will be notified via telephone of winning.
h. Winner of the AT&T text “Jack” to 2251 will be notified via text by AT&T.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.
f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
